Stephen A. Yavorski Jr. is an artist based out of Northern New Jersey. Early in his career he made a concerted effort to illustrate his perception of himself in addition to his surroundings. His goal remained consistent in representing, through his art, how he sees the world thereby offering his supporters the insight that is unique to Stephen. He communicates this very clearly, and sometimes even bluntly, through his images utilizing metaphor and high technical ability.
In his childhood home, Stephen, at an early age discovered his fascination with daydreaming and thinking of ways to make a mark on the world. As a child he would watch as his mother airbrushed in her studio. Stephenís father also had deep impact on his imagination through visiting his metal fabrication shop and seeing the creations being welded, shaped, and constructed. ďI always had the desire to create because art and creation have always been around me. I believe that the opportunity of this creative environment allowed me to tap into and develop talents for envisioning and mentally constructing.Ē, Stephen says. As he progressed in life, he discovered that through art, he can best communicate what is most important to Stephen about himself and the world around him.
After graduating high-school in 2007, Stephen started his training at The duCret School of Arts in Plainfield, New Jersey. During his time at duCret, he established a large network with fellow colleagues and teachers. One of his most influential teachers was Timothy Jahn whom Stephen studied under while at duCret. Upon completion duCretís program, Stephen entered Timís apprenticeship program. He learned many professional and technical skills from Tim over the next few years. During his studies at Jahn Studios, Tim introduced him to Anthony Waichulis.
Stephenís art has been featured in many exhibitions in the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania areas. In addition, he has won various awards for his artwork. Stephen continues to pursue his artistic training with Anthony Waichulis. He continues to do personal works as well as commissions.
Stephen remains dedicated to continuing to make strong statements with his work. His outspoken manner and ability to objectively look at situations with clarity and insight are the driving forces behind his work. For Stephen, itís not just about creating art, itís about communicating these thoughts through the limitless vehicle of art. He wants to leave his mark on the world in a thought provoking way and be an example for other people to do the same. Stephen wants to inspire people to feel the freedom of being honest with themselves and their surroundings.
